He was born on 10 May 1943 in Johor, Malaysia. Graduated with a Diploma in Architecture from Singapore Polytechnic in 1969. As a Director of the company, his role as Director in charge of projects includes regular responsibilities, but also extends to recognise his expertise in CAD and graphics. He set up the computerisation of the firm.
His specialist area in architecture is industrial buildings and his portfolio include projects for Rhone-Poulenc, Schering Plough, Fisons, Firmenich, and the German Centre for Industry and Trade, amongst educational and institutional buildings. His professional record includes a long association with the Singapore Institute of Architects as a Council Member. Other involvements extend to the area of community service as a member of The National Council of Social Services House and Building Committee, The Singapore Children Society Convalescent Home Committee, and Volunteer service to the Movement of Intellectually Disabled.
He was also the President of the Rotary Club of Singapore for the year 2003 and 2004. |
